Not listed properly

I bought this switch for an Eton Viper 70 as I was trying to start the quad. This new switch has all of its wires melted, so obviously where it is for a Viper 70, it's not true

Pros
  • Niche Best
Cons
  • Compatibility

Directly cutting the connection cable works well

As other reviews have written, the molex connector is soldered incorrectly, only red and black are needed for this E-Ton Viper 150, so I just cut off both connectors and crimped 2 to the sealed ends of the 2 others works great quick and easy

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • poorly thought out

A small problem but it worked

Have to order a new wiring harness as the old one was rusted and the bike would not start. When I received this, the colors of the wires on the connector did not match. So, using some butt connectors and tape, cut the wires to fit. Connect to the main wiring harness and now it works great!

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Negative is present

Great switch for the price.

Perfect for what I need. Ignition with 4 wires. The key is off, the two wires are connected. Connect the key to the other two. Most of the issues I saw in the reviews were burned out by small wires. So I can remove the wires and solder the wires from the old one. Works great so far and doesn't get hot. For the price unbeatable.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Quick Guide

Good product but didn't suit me

Got this to replace an '09 Yamaha Raptor 90 rear derailleur as they use E-Ton motors. It did not work. The connector is the same, but the connections in the switch are not the same and this cannot be fixed by swapping the wires. Basically it opens the chains when they need to be closed for my application. This is not the fault of the product or the seller hence I give 4 stars. I was able to use toggle switch parts and a new key to fix the OEM switch. For a proper application, this switch would…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Doesn't work with Eton Viper 90

I tried this for the Eton Viper 90r because the description said it would work for this model. Unfortunately it isn't. The Eton model should have no connections when the key is off, then the top two wires are connected and the bottom two wires are connected when the key is on. This ignition key has one set of wires connected when the key is off, then only the other set of wires is connected when the key is on. Thus, when the key is on or off, only one set of wires is connected. Hope this helps…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Some difficulties
