The great was not improperly manufactured Does not mate with the standard mc4 unplug connector....don't buy complete junk

Can't say they worked on my hardware but I'm sure they work on some. Unfortunately I can't find anything that works with my Ecoflow cables yet. Good quality.

Using these tools I unjoined 4 panels to rejoin them in an 8 panel array. The tools worked great, especially compared to my previous plastic tools which gave way too much to be used for breaking tight connections.

It's hard to give this 5 star rating in one review as there are so many different companies that make cable adapters for mc4 solar panels. They're a little more durable than my last metal set. Plastic keys break easily. Whilst km doesn't give these 5 stars they are the best in design although they have a bit of slack on some ends which prevents the tabs from being pushed in and allowing the adapter/connector ends to separate.

I like that the tool is sturdy and made of metal (too many plastic tools break with minimal use). The only problem I've found is that the spacing between the prongs that compress (loosen) the MC4 clamps is too great. I added heat shrink tubing to the pins to reduce the width, making it easy to pinch the clamps and release them. However, the shrinkage does not last very long. Updated rating (now 5 stars): I decided to keep these wrenches after ordering and trying the plastic version from another supplier which turned out to be entirely proprietary. iGreely made much better! I have found that this tool works with the MC4 connectors on my panels and the standard wrench works with the screw fittings on my incompatible MC4 connectors. I also found problematic MC4s not only problematic with this tool; In fact they don't connect properly to the MC4 connector on my panels…
