Beautifully grained wood and a durable glass lid. Easy to assemble base.

The base and "top" of this very beautiful acacia. The glass top is fairly thick glass, but surprisingly not very heavy. The base has a screw inserted into the top. This screw slides easily into the bottom of the plate creating a very stable cake stand. The glass surface protects the cake with every movement and repels insects. While he goes about his work, the beauty of the cake is still there for all to see. My wife mentioned that the glass lid looks small. I placed an empty Bundt pot upsideโ€ฆ

Everything about this babe looks professional!

Exceptionally well packaged! Easy to assemble. This is a screw (see photo). I always wash everything upon receipt. The glass came out nice and clean. I was concerned that the hollow handle on the lid was complicated, but it really wasn't. I was a bit overwhelmed by how light some of the wood pieces were. I expected it to be more color stable. I like the option even though I didn't expect it to have this level of contrast. The base is solid. No swaying. I chose this because I love theโ€ฆ

Check size restrictions before ordering - here's why

Before ordering, be sure to check what size cakes and tarts you typically bake. The glass dome is 10.5 inches wide. I have a set of three Wezvix 9.5 inch stainless steel pans. I recently baked two 9.5 inch devil pies. Between the two layers of cake I placed a thick layer of rich chocolate buttercream and topped it all with dark whipped chocolate. Given that the cake stuck out slightly from the edges of the pan, with a decent layer of frosting, the finished product couldn't have been wider thanโ€ฆ
