Not just for metal

This type of blade greatly improves the performance of band saws in everything I do. In particular, I use them to cut 1-2.5 inch thick plastic where the regular blades that come with a bandsaw break and get stuck. They last up to five times longer than traditional wooden panels and are much less likely to break. I've been using them for a year. once before replacing them.

Pros
  • A handy part
Cons
  • So far so good

New life for my saw

I was dissatisfied with the performance of my band saw from day one. Since it was cheap (9" skill) I figured sluggish working was fine, I recently ran out of the blades that came with the saw. So I did that and oh my god! never mind! he made cuts I never thought possible, from my saw, at first glance the blade looks completely different from the skil blade, very high quality and hard, will never come back.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Not for steel

I got this for an upcoming project a while ago and was happy to use it. At first he cut fast, then he stopped cutting. I cut 14 gauge 2x2 square steel and only got one cut. I looked back to see if I had bought soft aluminum but didn't see (maybe overlooked) that soft tools only work once on 14 gauge steel. But it's great for wen band saw. Tight fit but fit and the engine didn't struggle. If all you made was aluminum, this could be a great blade.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
