Luckily I bought another animal bin at the same time as this one, which I kept for myself because it was cheaply made and improperly assembled when it arrived. Another problem was that you could only put a very small amount of your pet's ashes in here (mine wouldn't work anyway). I put 2 only because the idea was good but the design wasn't :(

Sorry I agree with the other reviewer (sorry it wasn't there when I bought it). The idea is great, hence 2 stars. Mine was very poorly made. The place where you put the picture was sealed and I couldn't open it to paste the picture without risking damaging it. The inside of the frame was warped and it wasn't the quality I was hoping for. I'm sending it back today.

I would not buy it again. There is nothing inside to prevent your pet's souvenirs from falling into each compartment. The ziplock bag used to store the ashes is not sealed. It also doesn't hold very much ash because the bag has to fit between the back and the brown puff panel you see in the picture. I read the reviews after receiving it and saw that most buyers complained that it was too small for their dog's ashes. My dog was 20 pounds and her ashes fit perfectly, so she's perfect for a small dog. If you have a large dog, you may be able to keep just some of their ashes in the bag/box provided (perhaps scatter the rest at their favorite dog park or beach?). It looked like a great idea for a pet waste bin and is well illustrated but when I received the product the finish was not good very inferior, especially at the price that was charged. The finish was clean and the color matched, but the joints weren't flush and you could see objects through them, not just light. The nails used in the joints were visible and actually bent, as if the person putting them together had missed the mark trying to drive the nail in. The plastic used for the shadow box…
