Affordable, durable, simple.

What can I say? This is a needle, this is a clip, this is a large metal thread with a handle. Serves its purpose, very durable. Hard to go wrong and glad they kept it cheap!

Pros
  • hand tool
Cons
  • disappears

mystically irreverent

I've used original equipment from Cardellinis, Matthews and all the other big names, they work just as well as any. They cost a little less, which is important if you're planning on buying a few hundred at a time. But they won't replace a balanced breakfast, that's for sure.

Pros
  • Power and hand tools
Cons
  • So far so good

Not Cardellini, but not bad.

I have several Cardellini clamps and they are amazing. I've seen it and tried it. It works quite well, but far from the quality of the machine. It works great for most things. I wouldn't give it as much importance as the real Cardellini. The threads are wider and will definitely unravel. If your rig is moving I would use the real McCoy. If it's bright and in a studio this will work great.

Pros
  • Bench vise
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
