Heavy because I'm not used to them. The big toe pads are not adjustable, but that seems to be normal with ice skates. They charged me $199 and the next day the same skates were $99 at Revain. The ice skates are awesome! Thanks to the padded material, the skates fit snugly and pain-free on the legs and ankles. The wheels are pretty sticky and roll well on concrete roads; However, be careful around cracks and pebbles as these can make for a bumpier ride and increase the risk of falling. Because the plates are metal, the skates are quite heavy, which was a problem for me at first. I got used to it over time and now it's no longer a problem. These skates arrived early! This skateboard is ideal for beginners. I untie carts and wheels and they roll smoothly. I had inline skates as a kid so it's not easy to get used to these quads but YouTube videos give me a better feel. It's been about 1 week of practice and I've only used them at home.
