I didn't realize the metal filter on the top was all bent after a few uses but didn't see it until I got the rubber band out. One or broken or poor quality after use. I'll look it up next time. I recommend you do this so you can return it

The machine itself is very good, but the filter channel is made of a very soft aluminum material. You can bend it very easily. I bought a 6 cup IMUSA machine 10 years ago, I still have it and use it 4-5 times a week, but the filter part is very strong metal.

I love everything about my Imusa: the taste of the coffee, the ease of cleaning and the look. My only criticism is that the pot lid is very tight and doesn't line up perfectly with the top. When the coffee begins to foam, coffee droplets fly out of the coffee pot. Otherwise I love it.

The insert included with this pot warns against using it to unscrew parts. Apparently they had problems with the pen before. The first time I used this pot, the handle broke off. I bought one years ago, it was great. This one was poorly designed and it seemed like they were trying to blame users for breaking poorly designed buttons. I returned the product and bought a similar coffee maker from another manufacturer.
