Ease of use is best for tube fittings

Hope it works better than the Oatey Sure-Vent and Studor Mini-Vent air intake valves I've used at this point before. With both, the smell of sewage gas came back after about 4 years of use. I suspect there is a complex design issue with the plumbing where this valve is used - there have been no issues elsewhere in the house. BTW, the Tuuber doesn't come with the PVC adapter that comes with the Oatey and Studor, so you'll have to buy one separately if needed.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Has imperfections

This saved me from drilling another hole in my metal roof.

I like that you can either place the hood under the sink or run the ventilation pipe along the wall to the attic - new construction. Anyway, I don't have to climb on the roof and cut a hole in the roof, buy and install the siding, and the price I paid was much lower than buying from the locals; I love saving money - save a dollar and it's like making $1.50 in taxes. Also, since the job site is outside the city limits, there are no city taxes paid, and buying from Revain with a Revain Loyalty…

If you already have a 2 " threaded barrel you're good to go

This is my second purchase. My house is getting old and many things that were new wear out. I replaced one of them in the bathroom a few years ago, now I have one in the kitchen. I had no problems with either one. My plumbing already had a 2" female adapter, so all I had to do was remove the old inlet valve and screw this back in. I didn't use nylon strap or anything - just hand tightened it. No gas leaks or smells. I don't know what could have happened to those who claimed to have smells. not…

This is suitable for septic systems

I tried another brand and it didn't work for me. I have a septic tank that is not connected to a municipal septic tank. I also live in a trailer. When I tip the tanks onto the van, a large amount of waste water is immediately poured into the system. This amount of liquid displaces a lot of air in the tank. When using a different brand of valve, the pressure was high enough that the other valve had little to no resistance to the gases being expelled, forcing septic gases through the valve into…

  • All right!

  • Big and bulky

You may need a sample.

I have been using Redi-Vents for many years. I've found that sometimes they don't work properly when it comes to releasing air when flushing the block. I replaced it with a trial version and it seems to work as well or even better than the new redi-vent. The time will show. It has more holes for air intake after flushing. One thing about the Redi-vent, which you can buy from Home Depot for less than this one, is that it comes with a threaded adapter for the 2-inch pipe that's now the standard…
