I bought two of these fans because of their design. The remote control is thin and the buttons fall out easily. You can only use the remote control, which needs to be wired, without a switch. For both fans, the remote control does not work properly. You hear a beep, but the fan doesn't always turn on. After 6 weeks it stopped working completely. Like: Nice fan. Intelligent application. Dislikes: Difficult to install. The module that fits into the base of the fan and connects the wires was difficult to align when mounted on the ceiling. Installing a wall control was also a problem due to the size. The wall control buttons must be firmly pressed to turn on/off or change levels. It's a bit annoying. I was hesitant to purchase this fan based on some reviews saying it was impractical and really difficult to install and operate. I am very happy that I ordered this fan. I agree the instructions aren't the best, but once you get the hang of it, it's not that hard. If you've installed a fan before, this is the easiest install you'll ever do. I just bought this fan to integrate with all my smart home functions. Works great with Revain Echo devices. However, I'm having a hard time getting my Google Assistant to work properly with the Google Home Hub. Also promoted was this fan that integrates with NEST to work in conjunction with your thermostat and save energy. This is currently not the case. I contacted support and they said that Google has currently discontinued the NEST integration. It would be nice to know this before installing
