Useless! Zero stars!

This company offers test kits for a variety of minerals found in water. It all looks very good until you buy the kit. Our well water contains a lot of iron. However, this test suite failed to find any after repeated attempts. Useless!,,,

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

Note expiry dates!

I ordered this product a few years ago and found it very useful and easy to use. As it had expired I ordered a new one at the end of May and found that the one I received had expired at the end of May 2020. No problem, I requested a replacement and received it today. Imagine my disappointment when I discovered the replacement was from the same batch and had the same expiration date. This one will be back too, but I'll look into another product.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Not tested on all types of iron

Well I get that if I'm not a water quality engineer. They seem to be doing an excellent job measuring the Fe+2 (iron) found in our well (up to 11ppm at certain times of the year). BUT if you have an iron filter and want to test the water purification. it will not work. Oxygen is introduced into the iron filter to convert Fe+2 to Fe+3 (iron) because that is what the ion exchange medium removes from the water. So if your filter is no longer working (except for the conversion part), this test will

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
