Description of Industrial Test Systems 480042 SenSafe

✔LOWEST DETECTION LEVELS ON A STRIP: Copper 0, 0. 05, 0. 1, 0. 2, 0. 4, 1, 2 ppm. ✔EASY TO USE: Single dip and read test strip procedure and optimized color chart make the product ideal for technical and non technical users alike for detection of Copper in water. ✔FASTER & EASIER THAN LIQUID TESTING KITS - Strips are faster and simpler than liquid testing kits, with accuracy as good or better. Color coding makes them easy to read, and they work equally well with chlorine or bromine present in thewater. ✔ACCURATE AND RELIABLE: Components are tested by Quality Control personnel at each step and are rejected if they are outside of specifications. Standards are prepared using calibrated equipment, and concentrations are confirmed by recognized reference methods. ✔MADE IN THE USA FOR MAXIMUM ACCURACY - Test strips made overseas can be inaccurate, hard to read due to bleeding colors, fall apart, or do not even work. Instead choose quality with a leading American manufacturer of high-grade water testing products.

Perfect for my hot tub!

Use this to test the copper, the measurements seem fine and I can adjust the water in the hot line accordingly. With a few test strips it should last a while.

Pros
  • Pretty package
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

We had super high rates so we tried several times.

These are NOT working. We got super high readings so we tried deionized water several times (meaning there are no ions in the water meaning no copper can be present) and it showed the darkest colour, indicating the presence of 2mg/L.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • I don't remember but something happened

A note to spa users - unclear instructions

I'm generally happy with the product, but I wanted to point out one thing that was unclear in the instructions. The instructions say to soak the strip for 15 seconds. in 75 degree water. When I first used the product I thought I would have to take a sample and wait for it to cool down to 75 degrees. After further research I found that the dive time depends on the water temperature and the manufacturer supplies an instruction manual that lists the dive time as a function of temperature. For spa…
