Data will be corrupted when the device is turned off suddenly.

I installed this unit with two 16TB hard drives with RAID 0 for use with Apple TimeMachine. I've had at least four times in the past few months where macOS has complained that it can no longer write to disk. I spent many hours with AppleCare and eventually had to erase and reformat the drive. 32TB of storage is expensive and I can't afford two more 16TB hard drives. So every time this incident happened I had to wipe hard drives and lose my backups. The same thing happened about a week ago and I

Pretty cool little unit.

Really great little machine. Easy to set up and use. Feels very durable. At the moment I have processed about 5 TB of data without any problems. Nice and small and with the ability to handle up to 32TB I'll probably have it for a long time!

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • No insurance

There are three features that make this RAID unit a great buy.

This is a great compact RAID unit. There are three standout features that make it a good buy. 1) It contains 16TB drives. 2) It has a USB-C Gen 2 10GBps interface. 3) It costs a little over $70. When I first got it I thought it might be a little cheap. The build quality isn't the best, but it's actually quite good and looks good. It has two fan speeds and a fan-off option that can be set manually depending on the workload. Drives are easy to insert and it even has a mechanism that automatically

Pros

Now it works fine. No wait.

As another reviewer noted, it would look better without the word "Galaxy" painted on top. The "Ineo" logo was glued diagonally to the front. The included USB cable is very short, if you're not using a laptop you'll probably need a longer one (USB-c to USB-c). After installing the drives (2 x 4TB HGST Ultrastars), turning it on and connecting it to a PC, the device would initially not turn on and the fan would not spin. Then, very strangely, the next day the device turned on normally. Strange…

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled
