Description of Inflator Inflation Campbell Hausfeld MP600000AV

Easy to use when connected to your air compressor, the MP600000AV combines 3 tools in one compact design—an inflation gun, chuck and gauge. The flexible hose helps you maneuver move easily into heel wells and other tight spaces. Easy to control with a large, readable gauge—2” in diameter--that measures between 10 - 150 PSI. The inflation gun features a side relief valve for bleeding off air and reducing pressure in over-inflated tires, helping you achieve proper inflation. Simply squeeze the clip and position the chuck over any Schrader-type tire valve; release the clip to lock the hands-free chuck into place. Squeeze the trigger on the inflation gun to inflate. Finish your projects faster and easier with Campbell Hausfeld. The Air Power Expert.

Inflator works but gauge is useless

I really wish I would like this product but the gauge is so terrible. I knew that for pressures under 40 pounds it would be best to use a gauge that doesn't over pressure to have bigger, more accurate steps, but I figured this gauge might fill my tires and at least get me closer. If it was close I wouldn't give 1 star. I did a motorcycle trip from California to Nevada, Utah, Colorado and back with heavily inflated tires because I figured it was going to be tight. My steering was a bit stiff so…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • So far so good

It can be assumed that the trigger-activated piston device will fail. Usually the problem is with the outer o-ring. Replacement parts don't seem to be available and since the inflation gun is cheap I consider it a disposable device. I am a home user with 28 tires that need to stay inflated - cars, trucks, trailers, tractors, hand trucks etc. The gun usually starts to lose air after about a year of use. The accuracy of your pressure gauge is not exact, so plan on using a good pressure gauge with

Not worth $11. Buy a better sensor

I thought I had reviewed this item before but can't find it. In any case, I was glad to get such a sensor. I used it relatively quickly after receiving it. As with most complaints, the tire's valve lock did not stay on, but only partially pressed against the valve stem, releasing air and reducing pressure. This only worked if you held down the plug on the valve. It worked when you did it. However, it accurately reads the tire pressure when inflating, or just checks the pressure. Fast forward to

Very poor workmanship; keep looking for something better!

I assumed something sold under the CH name would be at least decent, but that's a shame. I bought two of these, one for my small work area off the kitchen and the other for the shop in my shed 200 feet away. The injection molded body is very sloppily machined so that air escapes from the threaded hole designed to accept the 1/4" NPT insert; air escapes there on both assemblies. No amount of tightening will result in a gas tight connection there Even though I used teflon tape on the quick…

looks like great quality to me

Despite the super cheap price this seems like great quality to me. I got it not long ago, so I can't comment on durability. But compared to $112 for the item I was looking at, I can buy 10 of these before I start losing money! So I converted that to Presta for bike tires for about $10. Many bike shops use the Air Bob inflator or the new Park Tool Shop inflator. Is it expensive. Here's what you need to do: Buy this and buy a replacement Air Bob head (google it and you'll see a couple of places…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly

Campbell Hausfeld has redesigned this inflator. The previous version had a red hose and a slightly smaller brass cartridge. The new version has a yellow hose and an enlarged chuck. Unfortunately, the tip of this new design doesn't work as well, doesn't adhere well to the valve stem and often leaks. Pros: - I have an old style inflator with red hose and tried this new style with yellow hose. The concept is just fantastic - three tools in one: inflator, deflator and pressure gauge. No more…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Five stars if you take two minutes to fix a tire chuck. one star if not!

Reading the reviews, many complain that the tire changer does not work properly. When my device arrived I had the same problem on my 2014 machine. I was unable to push the tire liner onto the tire's valve stem far enough to engage the pin valve and allow air into the tire. Tried it on two other machines. didn't work with them either. I was willing to return the unit for a refund - realizing the bus terminal could be disassembled so I had nothing to lose, I disassembled it by simply unscrewing…
