Description of Infrared Remote Extender Cable - IR Extender with 1 Emitters 1 Receiver (20FT) for Cable Box Hidden IR Repeater System

{IR REMOTE CONTROL} cable extends the signal to a video source like a Blu-ray player so it can be controlled from your HDTV; Red LED in IR Receiver bulb verifies the signal transmission(Operating range:20-60HZ). {HOME THEATER ACCESSORY} repeats the IR signal to a DVD player, STB box, Receiver or other A/V source with an infrared sensor; Route the cable out of sight with a wall mounted HDTV; Install the IR Transmitter end in a concealed equipment closet to hide a CATV box and control it remotely. {SIMPLE INSTALLATION} of this lightweight IR cable; Locate the IR Blaster near the source sensor to repeat the signal to the source; Place the IR Receiver in a convenient location with line of sight of your hand-held remote; IR Tx and Rx cables have adhesive circles on the back for mounting. {USB POWERED IR }extension cable has an integrated 6 foot Y-cable to receive 5V USB power; Connect to an HDTV USB port or to a USB wall charger(Tip: Devices that need remote control must be placed in a place where your remote control cannot be directly remotely controlled. The signals are not synchronized and will interfere with each other and cause them. {UNIVERSAL COMPATIBILITY} with most A/V equipment with infrared sensors (not RF); 180 degree IR Receiver angle provides plenty of leeway to get the right angle with your remote.Remote control signal receiving real-time response to fast forward without delay.

But looks good. on Remote Extensions

This only had <6 feet of sensitivity with Cisco's Charter (Spectrum) cable box. He also turned off the TV 50% of the time, but not the cable box. There was no point or reason why he wouldn't turn off both devices. I bought another IR that works great.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Modern

Easy Installation - Remotes and Accessories

This was the easiest install ever! The USB plugs into the front of the cable box, the small red light is on the front, and the larger red light is placed or attached anywhere you want. Now I can keep my closet door closed and my remote works great! Love this little gadget! Can't beat the price.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • sad packaging

Wish There Was A Zero Star Option

From the start, the remote control had to be right in front of the receiver to receive the signal. It won't even rise slightly from the middle. After a week it stopped working at all. It wasn't worth getting it back as I routed the cables through a slot in the wall and would have had to detach the TV to get to them. Dissatisfied.

Pros
  • is clear, even to the old
Cons
  • Negative is available

The remote works well up to 15 feet.

This is a replacement device. The first only lasted 3 days before failing. I have been using this device for 5 weeks and it works perfectly. I closed my deck for the winter; I'll see if it works when I start it in spring. The 20 foot cable (actually about 13 feet from receiver to transmitter and about 5 feet from transmitter to USB port) made it possible to drag the remote from my house to the deck.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Disappear

Great product! suitable for audio and video accessories

Works exactly as described. We have entertainment material in another room and it helps us use our remotes without having to go to another room. The cable was way longer than we ever needed. The sensor comes with a sticker which we placed under the TV and then routed the emitter through the wall into our entertainment room. It works seamlessly with all of our remotes and controls everything we use it for. Very happy with this product

Pros
  • Well made
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

Best for LG TVs in Accessories & Supplies

Works great. I tucked the soundbar under the TV and didn't have enough room to turn the TV on with the remote. I have a LG C9 OLED. The remote control uses Bluetooth for all TV functions, except for turning it on and off, which uses an IR blaster. Needless to say, this device is perfect. This didn't work when I was using the USB port on the back of the TV, but it works fine when plugged into an outlet. It doesn't even have to be clearly visible on the remote control. I pointed the repeater down

Pros
  • Finally bought

Insufficient range of receiver and transmitter

The receiver will not work further than 2.5m so it needs to be halfway between the TV and the remote control . in two different situations I tried. The receivers on three of my TVs work well at >20ft, but this one isn't sensitive enough for anything other than small apartment situations. The transmitter also needs to be within < 15 feet of the cable box, which also doesn't work for my box which is in a large room. I actually got the system working by hanging the receiver between me (the…

Pros
  • {HOME CINEMA ACCESSORY} repeats IR signal to DVD player, STB, receiver or other A/V source with infrared sensor; Hide the cable with the wall-mounted HDTV; Install the end of the IR emitter in a hidden equipment closet to hide the cable box and control remotely
Cons
  • Available in black only
