Description of πŸ“· E&O Infrared LED Light Board Module 3W 850nm IR LED with Adjustable Resistor for Raspberry Pi Camera Night Vision Module (2 Pack)

3W 850 infrared led light compatible with raspberry pi night vision camera. "With adjustable resistance and photosensitive resistance, the infrared Led turns on and off automatically according to ambient light. ". Working Principle:When ambient light is lower than threshold value, the infrared LED is on, vice versa. How to use:Connect the Infrared LED Board to the camera PCB by screws. Then, adjust the adjustable resistor to set a proper ambient light threshold, which toggles the infrared LED automatically. Can you even get a pi camera that shows true color

I bought this camera because it said nothing about night vision so I shouldn't go all pink in daylight. Well, that part was correct, but the grass and trees are green, not brown, what can you do about it? As if that wasn't enough, it keeps flashing from pink to normal when exposed to sunlight. I've attached a video so others don't make the same mistake when purchasing this camera.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • too dumb

Pretty good video when you are not moving

Used for FPV on RC car. Video was decent, but heavy motion blur and night mode or an automatic light adjustment didn't seem to work properly. Used with Pi 4

Pros
  • Full set
Cons
  • No paint needed

The best I've gotten

The picture looks good for a camera that can pick up IR light. The one I had had a nearly silent mechanical shutter for switching the IR filter.

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Repair

NO NIGHT VISION: computer parts

The only reason I picked up this camera is because it has wide angle AND night vision. This camera is not night vision. Stick with the NoIR camera, which is night vision. It was too good to be true.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • There are nuances

Great time-lapse camera for Raspberry Pi

Great camera for the price! Photos are nice and crisp, and my Octoprint slow motion videos look a lot better working with this camera on my Raspberry Pi. I didn't try night vision because my printer has LEDs, but I would definitely recommend this camera even without night vision! Another great prize!

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Great price

Works with single board computers

This camera works great. The "official" Raspberry Pi camera, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ER2SKFS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1, doesn't even work. I thought I was having trouble with the Pi, so I tried this camera and it worked great right away. It's bulky, almost too bulky for my 3D printer app, but at least it works!

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Nervous

Decent cheap last generation camera for Raspberry Pi 3

Camera stutters a little at maximum settings and using RPi 3b. It reminds me of webcams from 15 years ago, but works great for my purposes. I just needed something other than PIR for motion detection and any camera would do. It was the right price, so he got the job.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Ease of maintenance

Neat, cheap camera of the latest generation for Raspberry Pi 3

Camera jerks a little at the highest settings and RPi 3b. It reminds me of webcams from 15 years ago, but works great for my purposes. I just needed something other than PIR for motion detection and any camera would do. It was the right price, so he got the job.

Pros
  • Single-board computer
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Excellent Time Lapse Camera for Raspberry Pi

Excellent camera for such a price! Photos are nice and crisp, and my Octoprint slow motion videos look a lot better working with this camera on my Raspberry Pi. I haven't tried night vision yet because my printer has LEDs, but I would definitely recommend this camera even without night vision! Another great prize!

Color is 100% useless

This camera can work if your project isn't about getting the color anywhere near right anyway. For any project where you care even a little bit about color (including contrast), this is pure crap. In what any sane person would consider "normal" lighting conditions, everything is pink. If you can make sure everything is heavily lit, you might be able to get some colors, but they're nowhere near the exact colors. I included three photos in this review, all of the same Green Apple Jelly. The first
