Edit - The product never worked but customer service took good care of me so I'm changing my rating to 4 stars. I originally bought one and it doesn't work in the printer. It kept throwing "Drum Error" indicating that we need to move the green tab to clear it. Thought maybe it was a bad thing, sent it back and got a replacement. Same problem. I called Brother thinking the printer was defective, they sent me a Brother branded drum and I haven't had any problems since.

I installed this drum in my office copier less than 2 months ago. And so far we have only printed/copied 2603 pages and they are already sold out! UPDATE: I received a new photoconductor in July and it has worked flawlessly so far. I hope the first one was just defective and this one lasts most of the 25,000 pages. The old drum (more yellow/gold) has these little teeth that I think tear the paper off the drum. The replacement drum (darker color) does not have these teeth! When attempting to copy and print the job, a sheet of paper is ejected with no toner and then an internal error is reported. As much as I wish this product would work, it doesn't! I am a bit wary when it comes to compatible replacements for genuine parts. This worked well and improved print quality (it had an old, worn drum that smeared the pages). The only issue I had was that the release button was a bit loose so I had to press it when I installed the toner cartridge. As I said, it worked and I'm currently using it, just don't know how many times I can press the release button before it breaks. Regardless, the cost is worth it. Delivered quickly.

This post. They really want you to be happy with their product, so the risk of this replacement drum is small enough that it's not a problem. The product still only has 3 stars. I work by title so I print a lot. It's not uncommon for me to print 500 pages at a time. While the toners I received were pretty good, I wasn't that happy with the drum. When using this drum unit, toner smearing was more likely and ghost images were more likely to occur. I had to change the fuser settings to accommodate them. It still worked and the price is great, but I've decided to try another provider for future roles. However, I will continue to buy toner from EZ Inks as they are top…
