Replace the original 12 year old derailleur with this product as the cog was removed and this derailleur worked for 20 minutes and broke in half. Waste of money and 2 hours of my time. Not happy at all.

Maybe mine was defective, or maybe it was a cheap product but it wobbled a full inch. Traveled a little, not stopped missing. Dropped the chain and bent it. Bought a better one and threw this one in the trash.

Installed and derailed, broke down on the 3.5 mile commute. plastic waste. There shouldn't even be a Shimano name. Couldn't send back without paying for re-shipping even though it says * in the description. If the item breaks, a return is not required. My bike had a faulty rear derailleur and I decided to replace it with this one. I used a few YouTube videos to figure out how to install it (remove one of the wheels so the chain goes in the cage instead of the brake chain). I've ridden the bike about 4 miles and so far it's stood up. I will update my review if anything changes. Until then I can say that this can replace the OEM.

Not sure what to choose? Look no longer for the highest quality for the price. I only regret buying it 2 years ago.
