Enhance Circuit Protection with InstallGear Industrial Electrical Gauge Line Fuse Holder Review

The fuse must be much higher than 150A or it will not blow. I had a portable AC unit with a 2000w pure sine wave inverter drawing 100 amps DC and the fuse holder melted. The 1/0 wire I used didn't get hot. The fuse holder has not processed up to 100 amperes permanently. Luckily I didn't have a fire.

This Install Gear fuse holder looks identical to many branded models. Unfortunately, that's where the similarities end. It uses the same clear plastic casing found in many big brand devices, but the internals (the important parts) are poor quality replacement parts.
