Doesn't protect eyes

Bought for my husband in June. He used it for the first time and injured his eye. He thought he might have accidentally stumbled across the dial. He used it again this weekend and burned his eyes badly. He turned the knob to maximum and it didn't work. Now his eyes are bloodshot, he can still see the haloes a day later, and his eyes hurt. I highly recommend this helmet!

Pros
  • Hard wearing finish
Cons

But it's nice to look at

kept the helmet facing the sun every day when I wanted to use it, the low battery light was on. In addition, the instructions are not clear, there are not enough basic instructions and guidance on how to set up controls. But it's nice to look at.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Easy repairability

You get what you pay for.

Visually a nice helmet. However, the first time I used it I had the settings as high as I could get them and the weld took about ten minutes. I ended up with eye stings, a week later I still can't see very well and my left eye is driving me insane. I will sell and buy a more expensive, higher quality helmet. Don't lose sight of this, I wouldn't buy it again.

Excellent customer service

I bought this helmet as a Christmas present and only tested it in February. Automatic dimming didn't work. Too much time has passed for the return option. After posting a review of my disappointment, I received an email within a day asking if I would like a new helmet or a refund without having to return the faulty helmet. Requested a new helmet, works great! So happy because my friend loved this helmet! Great customer service and great product!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Get something from a reputable brand, not this one

If something only has a one-month warranty, don't buy it. The build quality is as expected, not good but not bad either. Unless you hold the arch for too long, it's almost impossible to see anything but a puddle. The helmet appears to be battery and solar powered, but if I leave it in the car overnight I have to leave it in the sun for half an hour to share before it works. It finally broke after a month of use. Doesn't get dark, left in the sun for an hour, nothing worked all day. Moral of the

The perfect extractor hood for your home hobby.

Generally a good hood for the price. I will use a well known brand hood like Miller or Jackson for the job but this will serve more than one purpose for your DIY or hobbyist. The hood is light but a bit thin. The auto-dimming lens is comparable to a Lincoln lens for home use, but what would you expect as I'm pretty sure it's made in a third world country, probably China, by slaves who cost 0.17 cents earn per day. As for the headgear, it's a bit cheap, but looks to me like a replica of Miller's

Excellent purchase at an affordable price

I liked the product. Most people think I use an expensive welding helmet too and honestly I don't see much of a difference. I need to purchase a helmet shaped headgear for an additional fee. But the product itself is a good buy. Will keep buying as long as they stay in the same price range. I'm a locksmith and I love this helmet. I buy a pair and replace them when I beat them up too much, although I don't really need them. I've beaten my expensive range hoods and after stumbling across them I…

Headbands are not good

I am not particularly happy with these products, the light I have is over my head and reflected from the inside of the helmet. And I adjusted the helmet all the way forward so I'm not quite sure how to fix it. When the light's reflection hits the inside of the mask, I can't see what I'm doing. Also the headband, you have to over tighten it to stay on your head and after a few minutes it starts to hurt. Unfortunately I think I have to send it back. And look what else I can find on Revain…
