🌡️ Baker B6015 Sling Psychrometer, Celsius Review

The psychrometer I received was different than the one pictured. .Interesting Carolina Biologic Supply is selling the real instrument I received (same as in her photo) for a $20 discount.

I had a similar psychrometer and one of the thermometers was stuck/frozen. I ordered this one and found it less durable and unfortunately not in Fahrenheit (it's in Celsius). Please note when ordering. I'll get it working and converting, but that adds overhead.

When rotated and extended the bolt will not lock in the extended position, you need to hold the tip or I suspect it will break. Yes it reads the temperature ok but I don't think it will last. I have a 20 year old Bacharach with a broken mercury thermos that did a great job. I think the picture on this page is a Bacharach sling.

The "slide rule" part isn't as accurate as it could be (seems to give +/- 5% as advertised). There is a single screw in the thermometer assembly that the assembly holds together and ensures that it does not bind to the handle when you rotate the PSYCHROMETER Make sure this screw is not too loose (nor too tight) 18: Screw won't hold - it will unscrew into the brass fitting and somehow YOU LOSE when the screw and brass fitting can no longer hold things together.
