Works with Arduino for Computer Components

Pretty easy to set up and use. Most of time. A fruitful web search was "arduino spi interface microSD". It's quite the cookbook from there. Follow the recipe and suddenly you have a beautiful removable disk for games. I haven't had any issues with these devices so far after about 7 hours of fiddling during 4 gaming sessions on 4 different days. Build quality is "kids toys", not automotive or aerospace.

Works well with the Arduino standard library

Both boards were very clean and well finished. I connected both to an Arduino Uno and used the Arduino SD library. Worked great! In the Arduino UI, click File->Examples->SD->CardInfo and run the sketch. I tested with a 16 GB MicroSD card. The MicroSD card snaps into place with a standard spring mechanism. I'm not sure I like the port location, but that's a personal preference. So it doesn't take up much space and the card slot is at the top, making it easy to insert. The only problem…
