However, I have fitted this fan exactly. And to be honest it was connected to sockets as much as possible but it wasn't compatible with my motherboard which I was using to look for a fan for my PC. physically aligning with the stands to snap it in place, I couldn't use it as the monstrous fan design hit multiple PC and motherboard components, making physical installation impossible. Remove and remove some motherboard components like RAM modules to use the fan which makes the PC unusable.

Do you know what sharpens my gears?

Fan bearing grinding noise. Every time it cranks up or down, it sounds like a hamster-sized table saw. I thought I put that noise behind me in the days of ATA/100 hard drives. Not the sound I need in a computer in 2021. I probably have bad audio, but I think that's the level of quality control at the moment. I'll probably check that out if it doesn't sound better a week or so after launch. Everything else installed without any problems and otherwise the radiator looks great. I would buy itโ€ฆ

Better than expected. Original cooling solution from Intel.

This is an Intel original cooling solution for 115X processors. It was made by Foxconn for Intel and it says Intel on the box (and product). It draws 0.55A. In comparison, the original fan that came with my i7 is rated at 0.17A. The heatsink is much taller and dissipates heat very efficiently. The processor remains 20 ยฐC (approx. 40 ยฐF) lower under full load than with the original heatsink. It is significantly louder under full load of the CPU, but otherwise quiet. Replacing the originalโ€ฆ

Definitely quieter than the stock Intel cooler, but not quiet

The stock cooler on my i7-8700 bothered me as the fan noise seemed noticeable. I didn't want to have a big project where I take the motherboard out of the case or work with a big tower cooler that I have no experience with. So this cooler seemed to meet all the requirements I wanted. Since it uses Intel pins I didn't have to remove the motherboard and stock cooler and replace it with this one in about 10 minutes. In terms of performance, it's definitely quieter than the stock cooler for myโ€ฆ

I used the stock cooler. I had a hyper evo 212 on my fx 8320 that I didn't want to port to my new i7 7700. I really avoid installing things like Hyper evo 212 on the system. I hate those coolers, they're annoying. This works great on my new 7th gen i7 7700 chip. It is very easy to set up and take down, which makes me very happy! He's not loud at all. Just a note for future reference before you get this, it's much heavier and taller than the stock cooler. It's a really high quality cooler and aโ€ฆ

I've replaced a lot of PC hardware over the years and now this cooler holds the record for most failed installs. My bloody, cut hands remind me of the days of trying to remove those damn ATX Molex connectors from motherboards. First, the design of the setup is terrible. It uses a series of rotating plastic clips that should slide under the mobo and then expand as the top plastic clip rotates. Sounds good in theory, but in execution this product does a poor job. Not only is it nearly impossibleโ€ฆ
