Review on 💨 High-Performance Intel Fan Heatsink Assembly Air 1151 Cooling - BXTS15A: Efficient CPU Cooling Solution by Brian Rivenbark

Install the worst component by any measure. Terrible performance, ridiculous setup, and it cuts my fingers.

I've replaced a lot of PC hardware over the years and now this cooler holds the record for most failed installs. My bloody, cut hands remind me of the days of trying to remove those damn ATX Molex connectors from motherboards. First, the design of the setup is terrible. It uses a series of rotating plastic clips that should slide under the mobo and then expand as the top plastic clip rotates. Sounds good in theory, but in execution this product does a poor job. Not only is it nearly impossible to even insert the unlocked plastic pins into the holes in the box, it's also incredibly difficult to line them all up or even know the condition of each pin before attempting the steps. install book is the most controversial install I've ever seen. This is a series of several photographs and that's it. No warnings that the component itself is literally razor sharp. Trying to straighten the pins resulted in some clean, razor-like cuts on my fingertips that I didn't notice until there was literally no blood anywhere. I had to interrupt the installation to clean the inside of my case from various drops of blood and a lot of blood from thin metal elements used for heat dissipation. What's worse, the box should be factory sealed by Intel. It was evident that the protective sticker had been removed and reapplied rendering this warranty void. I don't know who opened it before me but it's clear I didn't get what I paid for. Edit: Actual performance is relatively decent. It's relatively noisy under load and my core temperature is 70°C below average gaming load (80% average). It hardly comes close to the cooling capacity. Edit: After a day of "curing" of the pre-applied thermal paste, my CPU temps are a good, correct 50C under load. I very rarely leave negative reviews, check my history. But when something performs so badly in so many ways, it deserves serious criticism and a warning that people shouldn't buy it. This is at least the minimum cooling for a non-overclocked 6600k, even with my extra case fans I installed and it was cutting and bleeding me all over. I'm still getting new cuts typing this, my fingers are just fucking covered in it.
