Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

When I made the purchase and started writing this evaluation, it was more affordable than the AMD 1600X. Whoever wants a decent and low-cost percentage over the next many years, they are welcome to grab it. Who needs to play on a 1060 for 6 gigabytes, a 1070 (which is further from the pocketbook), and quite a nice gaming machine?

Good value for money, I recommend.

Consider the heat dissipation of the processor, an appropriate cooler is needed. For silence, I limited the boost, at the nominal value there is enough for everything, the temperature at idle is 32, at load 41. Its pros: 9600k, A good productive stone, a minimum of dancing with a tambourine. Some cons: I donโ€™t like how turbo boost works, sometimes the load is small, but it boosts up to 4600, naturally the temperature rises, the system unit is no longer so quiet. Hot at high frequencies.

A nice option for the money, one of the best deals.

I took in a bunch of asrock z370 pro 4 and green Samsung dice. Everything is very easy to chase and works fine without bsods and freezes.

Pros
  • Very good performance, not a single task (except for benchmarks) can load the percent by 100% on all cores. Quite easy to chase (overclocked to 4500, I donโ€™t want to go higher because of the noise of the cooler) This is intel. I switched to it from an amdshny processor and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Cons
  • Price. I took it for 15,000. Now it seems to be more expensive.

The best thing for the money, I'm glad I chose this option.

Attached the results of some popular benchmarks. When cooled by a top-flow cooler Deepcool Gabriel in a normally ventilated case during video encoding or rendering, the temperature of the CPU Package was kept at about 60 at a fan speed of 1100-1200 rpm. AMD fans don't have to bother with dislikes.

Pros
  • [Speech about i5-8500] Performance: 6 cores with total turbo boost up to 3900 MHz. Heat dissipation: very cool despite 14nm

I'm very happy, it really is worth buying.

at the time of purchase cost a ridiculous 9 with a little. The boxed cooler has not changed, the thermal paste is good, in principle, you can not change it for a decent amount of time. If there is no money yet, then the video core gives out FPS quite well, the main thing is to put firewood under the Intel graphics, and not use the default ones.

High-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

Good stone for the money. I overclocked this processor to 4800 Hz on the ASUS Prime Z370 - P motherboard. I don't see the point. All gaming news pulls very well, it rarely loads above 80% and my temperature does not exceed 58-60 degrees with the declared overclocking. The video card itself is from ASUS 1060 strix version of 6 GB. Its pros: The quantity and quality of cores is amazing. The heat dissipation of the processor itself with the number of simultaneously working cores. Goodโ€ฆ

Great processor Good for CPU processors

I love this little processor. I bought it in a car that I mainly use for web browsing and gaming. This is a champ. They also made them a lot easier to install than I remember by getting rid of the pins. With six cores, I felt it wasn't worth the cost to upgrade to an i7 and wasn't disappointed.

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Reliability

I got lucky and needed this a few days after release.

Good value for money. Just a few bucks over 8400. Half the price of really bad stuff. For my use, that's all I need. I'm still using the 3rd Gen I 5. When things are serving me well I tend to come back to it. I even bought some Intel shares to go along with it. Already about 25%.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Good but not great

More than enough for gaming

If you're thinking about getting a GTX 1070 or lower, that's more than enough. However, if you plan on encoding a lot of videos or doing a lot of scientific simulations, get the Ryzen 5 2600 as it has 12 threads instead of the i5-8500's 6 threads.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Something's wrong

It's basically an I5 9400.

I bought this for $5 more than the 8400 to replace the I7 3770. I also upgraded from 16GB 1333GHz to 16GB 3000MHz on the Z370. I didn't really notice a difference with the GTX 1070 until I got into some really demanding areas of gaming. Fps drops to 40, now no longer below 60. Also everything seems to be smoother. Overall, I'm very happy with my unnecessary upgrade.

  • Beautiful
