Eventually the price fell.

Well done, it's fast, efficient and seems to be the most stable of the three I've tested. Of course this processor will be obsolete in a few months but I was so happy to get it at this price and it was worth the wait.

Value for money cores

Thought about waiting for or moving to AMD 5000 series but after AMD announced pricing. I'm so glad I have this! This is a great processor. It can handle pretty much anything you throw at it, and if you don't want to overclock, the thermal boost will give you great performance out of the box. Keep in mind that this is overkill if you're a casual gamer, a novice user, or someone who uses their computer to watch YouTube videos. Buy Zen2 Ryzen 5 or 7 and you will be happy. Great value CPU Processors

That's 10850k, what more do you need? Worked well out of the box. As you know, actual performance will vary. I didn't win the silicon lottery or anything, but I did get a pretty decent Geekbench score of 1295 single-core and 10119 multi-core with this overclock to 4.6GHz. The temperature will of course also vary, but I can keep it at 60ยฐC under load with simple air cooling (Noctua fans) and around 38ยฐC when idle.

Same as i9-10900K but a little hotter

This thing works like a dream! I overclocked it to 5.3 GHz. Keep in mind that this thing generates heat at maximum power. If you're just gaming, heat isn't an issue. If you're rendering videos or doing math, you need VERY good cooling and thermal paste. I cool it with EVGA CLC 360.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • I won't say anything

If the price is right this processor can be impressive. Bought this for an itx build and compared it to my personal 9900k. In single-core mode, both processors reach 5.0 GHz, the 10850k scores a few points more and delivers a few frames per second more in games. The 10850k can use faster RAM and thermal performance is much better. But the maximum 5% difference (note the Z processor scores for 9900k 557 10859k 563) isn't quite worth it. In general, I would only upgrade from Gen 6 or older. Withโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Up to 5.2GHz unlocked
Cons
  • I'll add later

Lost in the silicon lottery. It is difficult to achieve an OC higher than 4.9 on Noctua's best air cooler. To be on the safe side, I applied thermal paste twice. You can reset it to the default C-state when loading multiple cores to 5.2 for a minute. Damn, this is hot stuff. 250 watts was just a number until I got it. With all the noctua case fans and air coolers I had to buy a Kraken WATER 360mm AIO cooler! Anyway, Coy is the best and I get over 69 fs in every game with my ECGA GTX1080. Can'tโ€ฆ

Pros

Lightning fast.

I went from 5820k to this beast. All I can say is WOW. The research I've done shows it's basically Intel's flagship processor, but a half step down. One thing I didn't know about my 5820k was how much it holds my entire system back. Passmark benchmarks have been increased for EVERY component. My 5 year old RAM is now running in the 99th percentile. My 2070 Super is not the bottleneck. Heck, even my crappy old SSD got better. but was then ruthlessly replaced by a younger, sexier, and much moreโ€ฆ
