This towel rail does not wobble and looks well made. I have a roughly tiled countertop in my bathroom and have no problem rocking the shelf back and forth. I mean obviously you can't wipe your hands on towels much because this thing is NOT ATTACHED to anything, but for regular use it's ok. I use it for full size towels, not finger towels, which was exactly what I wanted. Goodbye.

This would be perfect for our needs - if only it were almost flat at the bottom. I couldn't believe how badly it was done. The floor was so uneven it wobbled 1/4 inch front to back. I'm surprised it didn't tip over. If we had kept it for more than a few days, it probably would have happened. The good news is the seller was ok to return it but still what a waste of time, materials and shipping.

Personally I don't like towel rails but I needed one for my new location as it was impossible to hang the rail on the wall. It's good for what it is. I don't really like his style but it does the job it's supposed to do and at a good price. If you can spend a little more for a nicer style, go for it. Otherwise this one is ok. Just long enough so the towel doesn't drag across the counter.

I bought two of these for my kitchen when we were renovating and didn't have a place to hang my towels, just left them on the granite countertop. These shelves are great! Looks well built, smooth and flat surface, flat base. Much more stable than I expected - they don't move or tip over when towels are put on or taken off. Instead of trying to fold the towel over the bar, we just drape it over it, which spreads it out and dries faster.

If you've bought other freestanding towel rails and been disappointed with the height, this could be your answer. So you can easily store a regular towel on the counter. I used to have 2 hand towels that needed to look nice - the shorter towels on the left were partially lying on the countertop. I didn't like the idea of looking for new hand towels when there were plenty of towels in the linen closet. This holder is also fairly well balanced and will not tip over.

I ordered this because it was one of the few towel rails that other reviewers said was big enough to hold an actual towel keep. Hold a 27 inch towel folded over the bar, but just barely. The bottom of the towel will lightly touch the surface wherever the stand is. The stand arrived with a dent in one of the arms that looks like it was made during production. Every time a customer asked what color to go with the MATTE NICKEL lights, the customer responses weren't very helpful, so I decided to order the item to see for myself.
