I bought this converter for my daughter to use while studying abroad in Italy. She liked it so much that I bought another one to use in Peru, Italy and Croatia. The best thing about this converter, in my opinion, is that the adapter is small and light enough not to be pulled out of the wall. I've had others that won't stick to the wall because they're too heavy and bulky, making them almost useless. Once connected, the base unit can be placed on a counter or table and used with multiple items.

My sister and I bought this when we decided to take a trip to Ireland and thought we might need different attachments and surge protectors. Just note that surge protection is built in and you do NOT need to purchase a separate one. If you do this and hook up another surge protector to it, the fuse will blow every time you try. I know from experience. We had to ask them to reset the fuse 3 times before we realized it. When used as directed it works great.
