Intertape 591 Double Sided Flatback Paper Tape is the recognized industry standard for manufacturing, repairing and replacing golf grips. Made with 7.0 mil bleached flatback paper tape and coated on both sides with high shear resistant natural rubber and resin adhesive, it bonds well to nearly any material. IPG 591 double coated tape has become a recognized standard in the manufacture, repair, and replacement of golf grips. It is also ideal for photograph mounting, carpet installation, textile manufacturing (twister room), steel-rule die (make-ready), and any application that requires two adhesive surfaces for joining. Carrier/Backing: bleached flatback paper. Adhesive: natural rubber/resin. Adhesion: 52 ounces per inch (to stainless steel test panel). Tensile Strength: 34 pounds per inch (longitudinal). Thickness: 12 mils (carrier, adhesive, liner) 7 mils (carrier, adhesive) 5 mils (liner). Elongation: 3%. Service/Operating Temperature: up to 200F. Release Liner: white crepe paper. Used on Sanding Blocks

I use a wide band to attach the sandpaper to the sanding block. First I glue a piece of laminate to the sanding block. The tape adheres better to non-porous laminate than to untreated pulpwood. I like this method more than blocks that curl up the edges of the sandpaper and kind of pinch them. This creates a small sandpaper radius at the ends. Also the sandpaper moves a bit because of the clamp. These effects are useless if you want to grind something flat. Due to the smooth surface of theโ€ฆ

Carpenter Rating: You will be satisfied with this tape

This review is for carpenters looking for temporary tape to align patterns, band saw boxes, etc. I did this with carpet tape. Such a pain in the neck to take that reprieve and it left so much glue on the wood. I tried the blue tape and the superglue trick. Four steps to connect two pieces of wood was too finicky. And if the glue drips a little when you press this activator, your surfaces are ruined. Then I found this thing. This is brown paper with a minimal amount of glue. The wax paperโ€ฆ

Does not stick. Constantly falling apart. Almost ruined the workpiece I was milling!

I bought this tape on a recommendation for woodworking. I needed this for router templates and general store projects. The product didn't stick to my blanks at all and came off almost immediately.I tried using as much tape as possible, covering the entire surface, applying maximum pressure and pre-cleaning the surface to try to stick it as best as possible, but it still came off in the worst moment and was almost ruined.a really complex piece i was developing and it might set me back a fewโ€ฆ

Goldilocks Double Sided Tape Solution

I ran out of my old standard double-sided (DS) tape that worked well, but couldn't find it anywhere in Calgary. It is extremely difficult to remove the backing once placed on the wood. I received a new BrandX roll from Lowes which was quite sticky but the foil just fell off when I cut a piece of tape to properly place the PITA on the tree. I received the Intertape591 DS tape a few days ago and have used it on a liner that I cut with a router for the last two nights. I believe that thisโ€ฆ
