Works well - Computer Accessories & Peripherals

Nice little desktop fan that blows just the right amount of air. looks like the fans from the 20's and 30's. lol but nice design. Best of all, it can be used with AA batteries to make it fully portable, or with the included USB cable. However, it cannot be plugged into an outlet, so keep that in mind. By the way, it's also very quiet.

Cheap production

The fan has lasted about 5 years which would be nice with regular use. I used it lightly, about a dozen or two times a year for a couple of hours at a time. It looks like the oil has dried up and now the fan doesn't spin as easily and the motor can't spin without help. I was expecting this product to last longer considering how seldom it was used.

His. enough.: usb gadgets

It's pretty quiet and moves enough air to be comfortable - I only use low speed most of the time. But it's not as quiet as it could be - the hum includes a distinct ticking. This doesn't just apply to the audible noise it makes in the air: depending on your computer, it can also produce electrical noises that can be heard in your computer's headphone jack. current position, it simply crumbles so that the slightest nudge will point it in a new direction. If it is a flat surface, this is not a…

Nice and quiet little USB fan

First of all, this little fan doesn't put out much power, but it's enough for my needs. My face is about 2 feet from this fan and at high speed I would compare it to a light breeze. I had some fun with the "Operation" statements. The second line says: Toggle [ON/OFF] to set the strength for soft/strong wind. I think it would be more aptly worded: Soft / Degree of gentle breeze. =-) The dimensions of the fan are as follows (approx): * Fan height: 8 inches * Fan blades (from blade): 5 inches *…

Good luck on 3 out of 4 of them.

Actually I've already bought 4 of them. I bought the first 2 a few years ago and used them in my work. One failed after a few years of daily use. In another, the cleaner broke the cord. I replaced the cable from the first one and it still worked fine. I decided I wanted one for my computer desk at home and ordered a third. This one arrived and I was immediately concerned. The UPS box was ok but the fan box was broken. I was still hopeful even though I opened it. One of the camps must have gone…

Too light to stay in place

I had previously bought an O2Cool branded fan but the one I received was defective (blown the wrong way) so I have I switched to a different brand hoping for better results. While I like the IO Crest Mini fan, I'm certainly not blown away by it. The biggest plus was that I was stuck in the office with almost no outlets, so I needed something that could run off my computer while not interfering with the monitor like what I had plugged into the outlet. This certainly works well, but doesn't move…
