I've always liked IOGEAR products. Previous PS2-based KVMs lasted for years. Other products were great too. This one - GCS1808KITU - was COMPLETELY out of the box. No power indicator - nothing. It may have been the cheap AC/DC box that came with it, but I'm not going to experiment with another AC/DC box just to prove it's the problem. I'll call tech support in the morning. I hope they do something else it's Revain Prime Return.

I LOVE THIS IOGEAR KVM SWITCH! I upgraded because my old IOGEAR KVM switch was PS/2 only (removed but still working 10 years later). PS/2 has long since been replaced by USB for keyboards and mice. These IOGEAR KVM switches are well made and reliable. You can install and forget about them. I have several systems that I'm really tired of swapping cables to work with. It's a well-made KVM in the sense that it performs as expected and is well put together overall. The video from this unit did not compare to three different brands of new 3 year old monitors I tried. What is good. However, the menu simply didn't appear until it was turned off.
