DO NOT BUY if your reptile needs UV

This product is 100% malformed as it does NOT produce UVB and so after a few months my turtle started showing symptoms of MBD. My turtle was swollen so I bought UVB test cards and what do you know there is no UVB from the new bulb I just replaced. I put Terpi in the sun for a few days and the swelling went down. For this reason I will complain to Revain and get my money back.

Just what I needed

Perfect for my little starter kit. I love that I turned the lights up and down, I didn't even realize this little turtle was a surprise gift for my child from another child (we weren't ready) when I ordered it, and he wasn't active at all. Within 4 days of receiving the lamp, it seems to be swimming and warming up contentedly. Moving the lamp works great with this dueling tank and I no longer need the heater in the tank.

It's going to be VERY hot. in Terrarium Heat Lamps & Mats

Overall I think it works well. I bought this to use with our new bearded dragon and as it claims to have both UVA and B I decided to use it. After 2 weeks it is still working perfectly. If you have a lid in your terrarium, the clip is useless and makes access through the mouth difficult. Also, it gets VERY hot. Once I smelled a burning smell and it was a lamp melting the paint on the terrarium. Just be careful where you place it. It generates a decent amount of heat, but I'm not sure if it…
