Light quality is much better than I expected. It has a 24-hour timer that simulates the sunlight cycle for your fish, so it's easy to set up and you don't have to remember to turn it on early at the weekend. You can also adjust the red, blue, and green colors to set the color to any shade you like. It even has 3 custom save settings so you can save the color you create. I am very impressed and would buy another smaller version for my kids pool.

I bought this to use on my 15 gallon frameless aqueon cube. With the 24/7 hour timer, you can easily work on schedule. Contrary to other reviewers I think it gets quite dark at night. I sometimes worry about the flashlight's weight, but it's fairly light and I'm probably only concerned about the thin frameless glass. I would like to start with instructions for 24/7 mode. - To enable it, you need to click 24/7 mode ONCE when you turn it on for the first time. Then click on the time when you are either close or exact. I recommend waiting until the exact time you want it set for best results. Included. I like the mount primarily for that. It's hard to find this center mount design that looks better and is easier to handle. It is very well fixed and remains stretched. I use it for a 35" wide aquarium and it lights it up perfectly. I've had this light on my 18 gallon for a long time. I was a little wary at first as I had never used or even heard of the brand, but it turned out to be the only lightweight clip wider than 9.5 inches and I took a chance. I'm glad I did! Ok where do I start? My impression of this lamp is mostly good. Its design looks great on my new 17 gallon rimless tank. The arm flexes smoothly and the lantern itself appears to be well constructed.
