It assembles somewhat unevenly, and, while doing so would be far better with two, is doable with one person.When assembled, the shelves are solid, and the frame is sufficient, but, what I can only attribute to tolerance stacking, leaves things a touch. wonky, for lack of a better word. It's not noticable once installed, less so weighted with books. This is also not unusual for this type of furniture, and maybe I'm just expecting too much for this price point?

"For the Price" is important. The shelf looks really great when it's full assembled and to my great shock, the holes actually line up really well! I've bought much more expensive build-it-yourself furniture that didn't line up even close to this stuff. I bought two sets for my library, and I’m very pleased with the results. They are very strong and sturdy and look great. A couple of tips: you’ll need a stud finder and a drill to secure them to the wall (this is absolutely necessary for safety)—all of the other tools are included. And make sure that you have enough space (preferably in the room where they’ll be installed) to put them together. You may need two people to lift the finished shelves up after assembling. These bookshelves look just as great in person as they did in the product listing! The bookshelf assembly instructions are easy to understand and assembly took roughly 20mins. One thing not included in the instructions was the size of the drill bit needed to pre-drill the wall mounting brackets to prevent your bookshelf from toppling over. It looks even better in person than in the photos. These shelves are beautiful, solid wood. They look really nice considering the low price. Our son put them together in about an hour. I love them because they let light through and don't look as heavy as solid wood (all over) shelving would.

Great communication from seller to correct the wrong address I originally provided. This bookcase looks nice and holds a ton of books. It is very sturdy and shelves are strong, do not bend under the weight of heavy books. It does need to be attached to the wall, straps are provided. Not the easiest assembly in the world, but within a couple of hours my husband put it all together. It looks much nicer than expected; we ordered a second one for a "wall to wall" look.

This is a sturdy shelf that for the most part looks like what's seen in the Revain product photos. However, some of the photos seem to show thicker vertical black metal posts than on the frame I received. Also, some of the decorative 'X' style metal bookends can be pushed to bow inward or outward. While these aren't super thin, I wish they were a little thicker so that would not happen.

My husband bought me one a few months back and I loved it so much I got another. Took us about 45 minutes to put it together and it was relatively straight forward. It comes with brackets to anchor it to the wall, so even though it is very tall, I'm not worried about it falling over or getting pulled over. Very sturdy. The very top shelf cannot hold as much weight as the others but it wasn't an issue for me. All in all I am very pleased.

I’ve been looking for the perfect shelf for about 3 years now and this was it. The size, color, and industrial look is what I was looking for for my den/office space. Only took me about 1.5 hours to put together (1/2 the time it took me to put up that doggone wallpaper!). I bought this to hold both my food pantry items and cleaning items (one side for each). It’s beautiful and goes great with my new baskets. The directions are easy to understand if you have ever assembled items before, but the trick we used was to use "real” tools not the ones they send you. Definitely followed the "tighten all screws last” mantra because you will want to ensure everything lines up before beginning to tighten.

These shelves look good, are easy to assemble. Just know they are industrial looking, but not super duty industrial. Slats may become unbalanced with frequent use.

Shelves were cumbersome for 1 person to put together. I think bookshelves, in general, are overpriced. Having said that, these look good and there is a lot of space to work with.

There was a delay in delivery which the company promptly informed me of. They offered me a refund if I didn't want to wait. Since I was aware of the supply chain slowdown, I elected to wait for delivery. The bookcase arrived two weeks later. I am very happy with the quality and ease of assembly. Very easy to assemble. If I had the space on the floor, I would've assembled it laying down like the instructions said to. But assembly standing up was still very easy. Would definitely recommend.

I needed shelving that was sturdy for lots and lots of books. Many of the shelving is composite wood with only edge support. This leads to sag in the middle of the shelf.These are great. Very sturdy with good shelf support.And, they look nice.
