Good value for money

Makes good, clean cuts and longer handles provide good leverage. I have used many styles of this cut type for work and this one has always been my favorite.

Pros
  • Irwin Tools
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

Gorgeous, Beautiful, and Sharp

These scissors are my husband's favorite scissors, he is a facade installer and we found these scissors right after they weren't worn in the store. I buy a few pairs here every year

Pros
  • Platypus (Trojan Pattern) Scissors cut curves, circles, or shapes more easily, but are limited to thinner materials than flat scissors.
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Bought as a kitchen tool

They are ideal for beating large chickens or turkeys or slicing ribs before cooking. Wash and oil them after each use to keep them from rusting.

Pros
  • Irwin 212 Tin Snips Cuts 12-3/4" straight and narrow curves. (320mm)
Cons
  • Not Sure

No returns are required for this product.

I just got this and they can barely cut anything after only using them a few times I don't know why and they don't even get a chance to come back, so disappointed!

Pros
  • Dual vinyl grips provide comfort.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

THE BEST curtain wall/trimming scissors in YEARS!

Used the WISS brand for over 20 years until they redesigned and DESTROYED the product. Used the MIDWEST brand for the last 10 years - BECAUSE there was ONLY one other option. These IRWIN scissors are ABSOLUTELY THE BEST EVER! Siding Installer, BUY

Pros
  • Hot-forged steel blades for maximum strength.
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

THE BEST curtain wall/trimming scissors in YEARS!

The WISS trademark was used for over 20 years until they redesigned and DESTROYED the product. Have been using the MIDWEST brand for 10 years - BECAUSE THERE was ONLY one other option. These IRWIN scissors are ABSOLUTELY THE BEST EVER! If you are a siding installer, BUY these

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

I use them exclusively for cutting aluminum soffits and siding and occasionally vinyl soffits. They last about 6 months with heavy use before I need to sharpen or replace them. The last two pairs I had before that were Midwest scissors. They both last about the same, but irwin wasn't as stiff when they were brand new, and they're a bit longer too. So they offer slightly better leverage for thicker cuts, but make it harder to work in tight, hard-to-reach places.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Thin

Great straight tip scissors

Fantastic product, service, delivery and easy transaction. These tin snips are simply outstanding in quality. The cutting hinge works smoothly and easily tears through trim, roofing material, small nails, carpet, canvas and nylon upholstery/material. So far they have stayed sharp and the quality seems to last for many years. We need scissors that don't have a sharp curve at the tip so they can get into small spaces and make cuts. Such snippets are becoming hard to find. I found them here and…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
