They were a replacement for a Wen 7 bit set which actually only had 6 different bit sizes and some of them had one dangerous amount well this set is far from the best the design and finish of the cut surface is rough leaving a bit of a crack at the bottom of the hole but the holes are nice and round and this set was compared to the "pro" quite cheap " set. For one-time use by a home master, I find them almost perfect.
I had no problem mounting the โ " shaft inboard. I didn't have a problem with the ยพ" bit either, as the set screws didn't protrude and the thick end of this extension is ยพ" in diameter. However, there is some jiggling in the bit when using this extension. I believe this is due to careless tolerance and poor construction. If the hole is slightly larger than โ " or the shank of the bit is slightly smaller than โ " then the bit will move to one side as you tighten the two set screws and this willโฆ
This is for a 5 piece set ranging from 3/4 to 1-3/8. This is a nice handy little set that fills a niche in the market for those who don't need big or special sizes and may already have a few small parts in their toolbox, and the wooden box is cool and pretty (and well made). To be honest I've used some of the Ivy Classic tools and they've never impressed me, but I don't think any of them suck and some of them are pretty good - I think they're trying to fill mid-table in terms of quality . butโฆ
