Description of Iwata-Medea Air Hose: The ποΈ Ultimate Airbrush Accessory for Precision and Reliability
10 length. Made of polyurethane, which is 1/3 the weight and twice the strength of traditional vinyl air hose. Extremely durable and strong. Twice the strength of traditional vinyl air hose. 1/3 the weight of traditional vinyl air hose.
Serves its purpose. Zero problems after 6 months of use. Cheap. I mean it's not the braided version but it gets the job done and keeps costs to a minimum.
I have never had any problems with iwata madea products, they are great. I particularly like this hose, it doesn't get tangled and wants to stay straight.
I really prefer this item to the traditional "knitted" airbrush hoses of the past. The reduced weight is great for those tedious projects. The only thing I'm afraid of is its resistance to accidental damage (like being run over by a chair), but I haven't worked up the courage to test that yet.
I like my Iwata but the air hose is pretty cheap and mine soon started to leak - the metal insert on the connector was worn out. There is nothing that can be fixed with tape. But it would be nice if their accessories matched the quality of the airbrush.
This hose is light compared to braided, soft and very flexible. If you work where you move a lot, it's a little less awkward, but you should avoid stepping on it or pinching it. I can store it in an airbrush case as it rolls up nicely and takes up less storage space.
