Attention buyers - Kitchen and Dining

While this is a great knife, it doesn't have a 'Made in Germany' stamp on it. It says "Made in Germany" so I'm assuming it's a fake made in Germany by a Chinese company.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Excellent quality, ideal for the kitchen and dining room

This knife is exactly what I was looking for. The quality is excellent. It slices fresh bread without breaking it and does an excellent job of slicing tomatoes into very thin slices. It is well balanced and feels good in the hand. I have other Zwilling knives and have never been disappointed.

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Without automatic

He cuts bread! best in kitchen and dining room

Heavy weight and feels good in hand. My 15 year old cheap bread knife has seen better days. I've always been a fan of Henckel's knives. I bought this to match my existing set which I have had for over 20 years. I assume it will last just as long. The knife lies perfectly in the hand and cuts the crustiest bread with ease.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

German steel made in Germany excellent knife

We started making our own bread, our crappy Chinese knives just crushed bread (and I regularly sharpen them on my Works knife sharpener). This beautiful German knife cuts our homemade bread as precisely and as thinly as we want. Avoid the Chinese crap that says the steel is German but made in China. Get the real deal. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons

Good bread knife - cutlery and knife accessories

I have expensive Zwilling Pro knives and decided to buy a cheaper bread knife so I bought this model with a plastic handle. It's a bread knife. And the bread is easy to slice. I see no reason to buy an expensive bread knife. Speaking of chef's knives, steam knives or carving/filleting knives.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time

Very nice knife on cutlery and knife accessories

Serrated knives are distinguished by their depth and sharp edge on the teeth. Both are great here. The best feature I find is the handle. The profile and slightly contoured edges provide ample control without having to apply heavy pressure to the cut. The only slight downside I found was the slicing of more rustic, artisanal bread. Smaller/tighter teeth may work better with a fragile crust. But if you're patient and let the blade do all the work, you don't need an extra knife. I love it!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Great knife for both soft and hard bread

I had a hard time spending so much money on a knife, but I was tired of slicing homemade bread with our old dull bread knife. Now I wish I hadn't waited so long! This knife cuts any bread so easily - both soft, which a dull knife would tear into crumbs, and heavy, densely leavened, which an old knife would only crawl through with great effort and saws. I know Zwilling makes much more expensive knives than this one and I'm glad they have a more affordable but great knife!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Concise instructions

German Steel Made in Germany Great Knife

We started making bread ourselves, our crappy China knives just crushed bread (and I regularly sharpen them on the factory sharpener). • Absolutely Amazing!

Very nice knife, the best of the cake knives

Five years later, dinner guests are still praising my bread knife!

Apparently I bought this knife in 2011 - five years ago. For the last five years he's been slicing tender brioches, crusty baguettes, rustic buns and tons of tomatoes (that's my secret weapon). This weekend a guest sliced a piece of crusty French bread and commented on what a wonderful knife I have. I came here to send her the link and thought I should write a review! I don't use this knife every day like my chef's knife, but I've never had to sharpen it either, and I still enjoy it like the…
