My eyes were hurting and I finally realized it was these new candle wicks. I stopped using and the pain in my eyes went away, started using and got sick again.

Purchase seemed good value so many wicks for such a low price. Not the case and I didn't know to return in time. The wicks of these candles do not burn directly, they fall aside as the wax melts. So the candle will burn in one direction unless there is a lot of oil and less wax. I will not buy again. But I'll find another place for my needs, a better wick, high and centered.

I thought they were too thin at first. I recycle wax melts and make my own candles to burn loose wax melts. I was totally wrong, they work great, I just drop it in a jar (used candle jar or thick jar from a thrift store or dollar store) and attach it to a stick or straightened paperclip to keep it centered hold and pour the wax! They produce very little smoke if you trim them properly to 1/4 inch, add as much as you need for an even burn.

I bought this bundle of wicks to salvage old candles and melt them back into usable ones. I've had enough for half a century, so I'll probably share some of that with others. From the few candles I've salvaged and remade, I realized that the metal base had to be glued to the bottom of the jar. This way you can pull the wick straight down in the middle. Otherwise it floats. There are other ways to do this, but remember that some kits come with a double stick patch to help with this.
