I bought this bundle of wicks to salvage old candles and melt them back into usable ones. I've had enough for half a century, so I'll probably share some of that with others. From the few candles I've salvaged and remade, I realized that the metal base had to be glued to the bottom of the jar. This way you can pull the wick straight down in the middle. Otherwise it floats. There are other ways to do this, but remember that some kits come with a double stick patch to help with this.
