Tape lights are super easy to solder, it seems amazingly easy. Once you open the metal tab, which is what you must do to use these connectors, the solder will flow over the tab with little effort. The solder joint will not come off and is likely to have fewer problems. If you plan on moving your lights around a lot, these connectors are probably easier than soldering.

I bought these thinking I'd need them for getting around corners but ended up not using them for that. I needed a way to connect a light strip to a power supply, but I only had 4-pin connectors and that was it. I ended up cutting off one of the ends and soldering a 4 pin connector to it. I was able to connect my light bar to one side and then use the modified other side to connect to power. Bonus. I believe they came with some extra connectors for corner use.

I wanted to give this one 1 star because sometimes they worked and most of the time they didn't. At first I thought the clamps weren't strong enough because if I pushed the clamps a little they would start to work. I untied everything, started troubleshooting and noticed that the metal clips didn't match the copper of the LEDs. This product saves lives. Used with Daybetter LED, 32ft (2 coils of 16ft each). Long fingernails and thick finger bugs made this setup difficult when connecting drums. Another LED distributor (Grv) recommended this flexible wide strip, buying any corner connector saved a kitchen project within 10 minutes of receipt. Wanted a white version with colored lighting and this one advertised it with white lighting. It is not. The white light they claim is actually a lighter blue. Otherwise they are fine and work well when the white color is not really wanted/needed. The phone app can do what the remote can't, and the backlight works better through the app. Value for money was ok as there are others cheaper and more expensive. Again I was really looking for a white option and they were disappointing in that regard.

The LED strips I used had a silicon seal on top and 3M glue on the bottom and very small copper contacts. I had to peel the silicone off the edge about 3mm, but when I removed the adhesive backing it was still too sticky to get under the pins and didn't fit snugly. So I left the glue on and placed the copper leads of the LED strips face down onto the connector pins (instead of pushing them through the bottom) and it made a snug fit. I bought these to brighten up corners with an LED strip I bought for the back of a flat screen TV. They did their job and the bonds were strong. No tricks were required and all colors on my LED strip light up when selected. Keep in mind that while the process is simple, it is also lengthy and requires attention to detail. Updated review: Okay, that was some kind of operator error. Of course, in order for them to work, they must be inserted, but they must be inserted into all the pins that touch at the right point, and then locked (they have vampire-like teeth to lock the strip's placement). It hurt, but not that much. I was very surprised that it was necessary to place the strip so precisely, not sure if this is just the nature of all the connectors or these specific ones.
