more than you'll ever need, but now you'll have it forever

I'll never have to buy a cable gland again. It's good for routing cables through frames, softening bends around carbon inlets and outlets, and is available in such quantity at a reasonable price that I'll have it installed for a lifetime. Maybe I'll find another use for it soon.

  • Free for Education
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Would be nice to have this in my toolbox

I used this for the exposed derailleur cable that runs under the frame's bottom bracket. I only needed 1 foot but now I have an extra one. No complaints. This is a standard case trim that allows cables to be routed within the frame. If you have an internal frame track, it would be nice to have it in your toolbox!

  • Certified
Cons
  • Dented

Did the job! suitable for cycling

I needed a hose that I could slip onto the internally routed rear brake cable so I could easily replace it after removing the cable. This diameter initially seemed too small for a brake cable to pass through. However, it worked great. It was cheap, functional, and lasted a lifetime to replace internally routed cables.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Transparency

Internal thread for cable

I bought this cable to run cables through Fuji Transonic internal cables. The inner diameter is large enough to route the brake cable, but unfortunately the outer diameter is too large to fit through the rear brake housing built into the frame. I can still use it as an internal protective case in the frame as the rear brake housing stopper is removable.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Works great where cables run through the frame.

Ideal for places where cables run through the frame on the trolley. My original ones were bent, dirty and just plain worn out. I cut it to the right length and there is still plenty to alter if needed. It's probably cheaper to buy one from your local store, but if you change it frequently or work with other bikes, it doesn't require a huge investment and will do wonders for your shifting when the old ones are a nuisance.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Even works with Shimano brake cables

For many bikes where the body is routed inside the frame, this would be ideal. I've only just started changing brake cables on the Trek Madone (3 year old bike). I managed to attach a hose to the brake cable that enters where the cable is at the back. I thought it would be easy. The only problem is that when the cable goes into the front input port, it doesn't go through. I was convinced of that after I removed the cable and there was enough clearance for the cable itself. I ended up spending…

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Empty

I bought this plastic cable sleeve which will probably be a lifetime supply because I have several bikes with internal cables and thought it might make my life easier if they were just to hand. It turns out to be incredibly helpful. If you need to replace a cable that runs through the frame without internal guides, you can slip part of it over the cable and route it up until it comes out the other side and tape both ends. snap onto the outside of the tube and pull the cable out with full…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
