Everything I put on I didn't have to move. I used the remote to stop and drive, reverse, just do a eighty, and other actions that made my shots of any subject faster, smoother, and with less stress. The remote control should look directly at the display. Point it any other way and it won't work. Would like something better. As others have said this is probably powered by a stepper motor. It would be preferable if it was a frequency drive for a belt driven three phase motor, you would have a smoother motion.
