Nice accessory for my regular 8900 1/4 " presser foot

I like the 1/4" presser foot that comes with my Janome 8900 but I missed the clear foot when sewing. This foot has a fabric guide along the right edge and has just enough foot presence to hold the bulky pieces I'm sewing. Smaller than the regular 8900 1/4" leg but great for the job I needed it for.

Quarter inch smooth stitching

My Janome Memory Craft 6700P didn't come with a true 1/4" foot. One required moving the needle to hit a quarter inch, which didn't work very well for me , and the other required removing the shank rather than snapping onto the standard shank This leg is for the 6700P The foot is see through with red markings to help with corners and it has a guide to guide the fabric to the quarter inch mark. It works great with a single hole needle plate. Love it!

works better than the presser foot that came with the machine

On the Janome 8200QC (a new machine to me) I had a thread jam while sewing the top of the quilt and the fabric was pulled through the 9mm wide hole in the needle plate with foot "O". comes with the machine. I prefer the guide foot for 1/4 inch stitch accuracy. The straight stitch plate solves this problem, but the "O" foot does not work with the straight stitch plate (needle moves from center to right, mode 1:8 mode). 3: select 02 for small 1/4", see page 63 of the instructions) So the search…
