Wonderfully cuddly Best in electric heaters

Love gentle warmth. Not hot, silent fan. I bought an adapter for it that Revain recommended as a 'buy with' but the plug didn't fit. Revain was very happy to send the converter back.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

I love the Kotatsu heater just like cats

I love my Kotatsu heater! I followed the instructions to install a heater under an Ikea table, connected the electricity via a transformer box (500W Step Up/Down, Japan, 100 or 120 volts) and covered the table with a giant quilt. Makes cats and I feel like we're toasty in the cold Boston winter weather.

  • Like everyone else

Exactly as advertised

I made a kotatsu out of an old coffee table and it's GREAT! It's like sitting in a pile of laundry that's just been taken out of the dryer, but it never gets cold. I bought power below as it is a thermal device and they are notoriously picky about power supplies. A tip: As with any electrical appliance, the switch on the cord is set to 'on' when it points to the raised line.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Something's wrong

The price is a bit high but works well. I like that the fan is quiet and the temperature can be regulated. Works well! My father-in-law is an electrician and told us that we don't even need a converter because although the American voltage is a bit higher, it usually drops when it gets home. So we plugged it straight into the wall and it works great.

Works as advertised but requires self-installation

Love how warm it is and the temperature control really helps adjust it to the weather 'outside'. I could just screw it to the bottom table top (just a piece of plywood) and then put a blanket over it before putting the last "real" table top on top. I definitely fell asleep the first time I sat under it and talked on the phone. Oops. Despite all the warnings in the reviews about the need for a power converter, I tried it without and it works great.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • The list will go on.

Great solution for DIY kotatsu

Excellent value for money. It comes with screws to attach to the L-Bracket and a power cord which is fabric covered and good quality. The heater itself is lined with velvet and doesn't feel hot at low or medium temperatures. Like other reviewers, I made my own kotatsu out of an IKEA LACK table and it works great! The whole thing was incredibly easy and only took 15 minutes. In addition to the heater, you need to buy a table, 4 L brackets and 4 wood screws, and a blanket. This heater comes with…

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

So comfortable. Best heating, cooling and air quality

My boyfriend and I knew we wanted to make a kotatsu for our apartment, so we bought a Hemnes coffee table from Ikea (we liked it and Hemnes had the perfect height) and I bought a heater and converter. I got L brackets and 1" screws from Lowes and attached this bad boy to the underside of the table. We have a green blanket. to drop it and use the bottom shelf for the top one! I'm writing this review now, all toasty and all. My only issue is that the heater clicks from time to time which makes…

  • Perfect for outdoor activities
