🔪 300J Jasper Router Circle Cutting Jig - Model 300 Review

First of all I LOVE it. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the price. It's just too expensive for what it is. I wouldn't worry so much if I needed it for more than one project, but now I have the PERFECT hole in my desk, EXACTLY the right size.

I needed something to make a 21" circle for a Big Green Egg table I was building. The instructions were direct and clear. Cut out a perfect circle. I have a Craftsman router that is about 10 years old and I was able to install a circle cutter with no modifications. It's relatively expensive, but it did the job perfectly.

It arrived today so haven't used it yet but I'm sure it will work great. It's very well made (in the USA) and looks and feels like very good, consistent quality. The main good part is that it is pre-drilled and fits my Fein RT1800 plunge router. My only negative comment is that I'm sure the item description says it's 7 1/2" at the base, but it's actually only 6 1/2" in diameter. in the base. I built an outdoor kitchen many years ago and recently needed a makeover to replace my gas grill with a Big Green Egg. I built a new tabletop using decking material in the part where the egg would have lived and used a tool to make a hole. I read the instructions once, plugged it into my router (Porter Cable) and cut the perfect hole. I was very impressed with the accuracy and ease of use of this mount. It not only has mounting holes for regular routers, but also includes hardware (screws) for mounting to these routers. It also includes a guide pin and shim so you can be confident of accurate placement when setting up the jig. I prefer to use a 1/4 inch spiral cutter for hole cutting because I have other uses for the slices I cut. However, this is very easy to do. I use both with my DeWALT DW621 router. I would definitely…
