When I ride in South Carolina I consider this jacket a three season jacket (fall, winter, spring). With only 2 small vents on the front, I would never ride this jacket in temperatures above 80 degrees. Medium works well for a 5'7" guy weighing 175 pounds. Small would be too narrow/short but doable. A large would be too big and sloppy.
