I wouldn't use it in a big hurricane but as it's lightweight don't expect it to withstand high winds. However, throwing it on a rope tied between two trees and then tied to the ground will give you ample protection in light winds. The grommets feel strong and should hold.

There is nothing special about this tarpaulin. This is your most important blue tarp, and it's not too thick. I bought this tarp specifically because I wanted it to be a ground cover for my 10X13 tent. So far it has been able to keep water out of my tent and it was big enough. I also liked that it was fairly light so I could travel with it. My other tarps are so heavy that it would be a big problem, but not this one.

As the label states, this is a lightweight material, only 6 mils thick, but with normal coating difficult to tear. Be sure to stay away from sharp or pointed objects to avoid punctures. All eyelets are well fitted around reinforced edges. I got the largest size, 12 x 20 feet, to cover my back porch and it didn't disappoint. In general, the PE tarpaulin is of good quality, tear-resistant and waterproof, no plastic smell.

The canopy did exactly what we needed. We have covered items on the patio to protect them from rain and snow. So far we're happy with how it's working. The canopy is 100% waterproof from the moment I received it, it rained several times and even snowed twice. The items we store have been kept completely dry and unaffected by the elements. The dome was easy to maneuver. It's a little stiff, but nothing annoying. There are grommets for a secure fit. Highly recommended

We vacation in upstate New York a lot and always need a tarp. Very light and very easy to fold, it doesn't take up much space. It will be great to put on our tent for extra weather protection. This is very helpful when it rains so we can cover our wood so it doesn't get wet. It will be a great thing to take with you this summer. We have had many tarps in the past and this one seems to last a long time.
