🐹 Silent Wood Hamster Running Wheel by JEMPET: Optimal Exercise Solution Review

Bought for my chinchillas but definitely not the right wheel for them. The width is clearly not enough. I have a standard size chinchilla (pictured) and a small one, and even a small one couldn't walk on it. In addition to the size, the wheel turned very well and quietly. I just couldn't justify saving it for a $30 chew toy 😅.

I'm in love with this wheel! So quiet and strong. he moves just as easily. I was a bit afraid it would splinter or the wood wouldn't soften, but it's so beautiful! amazing quality. It is lined on the inside with a corkscrew making it ideal for your pet's little feet as metal and plastic are not suitable for them. I highly recommend this product. I have a Syrian Hammy and it's perfect for a size reference.

Nice looking wheel, the cork is good for your hamster's paws. Two complaints. The wheel is advertised as being just over 9 inches. As you can see from the picture it is nowhere near the right size. I received this bike after 12 noon today. I was disappointed to see that there was no random piece of wood attached to the wheel and the cork that fits the wheel was not attached to the inside. I really like the design of this wheel but it is not centered. When my hamster runs, it rattles. It's a pretty loud noise. The cork lining also comes out and flops in. This is a really good balance bike. I got the smallest size for my two gerbils and they love it. They walk around in it, sit and eat there, my little blond boy even sleeps in it. The only reason I give this wheel 4 out of 5 is because you can't clean it if your pet pees in it. (I still don't know how you're going to clean the tree). This is the only wheel I have used on my gerbils. Since they chew everything through, I have to change them every two months or so, but I'd rather give them an edible wheel than a plastic one. Lots of space, no strain on the back. I wipe it down with pet safe wipes once a week and it washes great.
