Jerdon Lighted Makeup Mirror Magnification Review

I was looking for a replacement for a 10x mirror that was hanging on my wall and broke while being repaired. I figured I'd get one that I could move from room to room. So I looked and looked. Haven't found anything with a decent sized mirror with more than 2x or 3x magnification. This primary mirror is inverted with 5x magnification. LOVE IT! That's great. So okay, I can't count the hairs on my nose, but I'll buy it. I do great makeup. That's the problem!

I love this mirror. I bought both Clairol mirrors (one with side mirror and one without). The lighting was terrible on both. I had to leave the light on to look in other mirrors. I bought these and the lighting is great. I can turn off the light in the bathroom and that's fine. My makeup looks beautiful and even. I had no problems with Zoom or Switch. You can see the difference between the settings, but I'll just leave it at the day setting. I was so sad that I wouldn't be able to find a decent

I've had a similar mirror for many years so I had a pretty good idea of what I was buying. The lighting is fine for what it is. The magnifying mirror is really good. I like that the mirror rotates vertically instead of horizontally. This makes it far more functional, which you have to make up for the ridiculous kickstand that comes attached to this device. To be honest, I've never used a beauty tool as poorly designed as the stand for this mirror. It's just not balanced at all. It tilts forward

Need to replace my 45 year old Clairol which eventually died. After a long search and comparison I decided on this one. I ordered a Jerdon folding mirror with a curved edge and light. This mirror has a 5x magnification. I'm used to the 10x magnification with my old mirror so after reading other reviews I was concerned it wouldn't be good enough. Great mirror! Pleasant and bright white light that does not heat up. I can really see my face without shadows. I like that the mirror swivels up and down instead of side to side so I can focus on my eyes. It turns on with a switch and has a lever to toggle between lighting settings. This is the mirror I use every day to do my makeup. I bought it 3 times in total. POSITIVE The lighting is pretty strong, but in a good way. I want to be able to see blending errors etc and the lighting definitely helps with that. This is really good if you want to pluck or see individual pores and the like.
